Hasbro's first and to date only reissue of the original Ultra Magnus toy was as part of their Commemorative Series of Generation 1 reissues. The toy reinstated Magnus's functional missile launchers, but this meant that, like all the other Commemorative Series toys with firing projectiles, his formerly quite short missiles had to be lengthened drastically for safety reasons. Additionally, like the Commemorative Optimus Prime toy, his smokestacks were shortened to prevent breakage.
